Hi booked to go to Hotel Rila in Feb and just wanted to know if anyone has any comments about it. I am going with another two adults and 4 kids ( 3@10 and 1@5) is it good there for kids ? and will the 5 yr old be able to go in the same school as the 10 yr olds ? cant wait to get out on the slopes not been skiing for 16 yrs

you will love it. older kids should be fine - younger one not sure about as we didnt have young ones travelling with us - they were all over 10. i just loved bulgaria and the rila is so convenient, especially with children.re: Hotel Rila
Tracey, don't worry about not skiing for a long time. I went last year, the first time in 10 years, and it really is "like riding a bike". Within 5 mins I was making the same old mistakes etc ....!!!!re: Hotel Rila

Rila is great for kids as right beside everything. However for a 5 year old they tend to push them towards the kindergarden. It depends on your child whether they are quite sporty and want to do everything the older ones do. An option we took with our 5 year old last year was to take private lessons for him as they don't teach proper skiing in the kindergarden its really only a babysitting service which I didn't like. HI WE ARE GOING TO THE RILA ON FEB. 14TH FOR OUR 3RD YEAR.NO PROBLEMS WITH YOUR KIDS BUT PUT THEM ALL IN SKI SCHOOL.OUR THEN 4 AND A HALF YEAR OLD HAD A BALL AND OUT SKIED ALL OF US. THEY SKI ALL DAY IN THEIRT GROUP AND STOP FOR LUNCH WITH THEIR INSTRUCTORS. WE HAD NO PROBLEMS .LESSONS FROM 9.30 UNTIL 4OR 4.30 APPROX.IF YOU ARE BACK AFTER THE KIDS THEIR INSTRUCTOR WILL STAY WITH THEM,SO NEVER BE WORRYING.THE RILA LOCATION IS EXCELLENT ,IT IS THE CENTERE OF THE RESORT AND YOU PICK YOUR GEAR ...
