Just got back yesterday from Hotel Rila, stayed in Studio, nice big, clean rooms with fridge and two plate cooker, stove top kettle and a pan. Easy to get kids sorted inearly morning with cereal and make coffee/tea in room (bring your own) and dishwashing stuff as they do not wash the cups etc even though room is cleaned daily. Best location in relation to Ski slopes and ski school.
Pool is BIG and not as warm as the UK pools, small pool too which is warmer but over populated.

Food we found fine, not fancy but adequate. Queueing for food was the worst thing about eating in resort but if you get there early for kids (6 pm) then you have a fair chance of not waiting too long. They have chips at every meal as well as vegetables and salads to choose from. Most dishes are simple English food but there are some Bulgarian dishes each evening. Breakfasts are a choice of yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread/rolls/pastries and then hot sausage, bacon, scrambled egg (not nice). fried egg, boiled egg and choice of tea, coffee, water or squash. Many people moaned about the food and having to queue for it but that aside, it was fine.
