Hotel Rila

Hi Everyone! We are going to stay at the hotel rila from the 26th of Feb - im a bit worried because i have read some really bad reviews!!! Is it really that awful! Also im a bit of a crap on the slopes and have only been skiing once - are the slope conditions bad - i.e really icy? Apart from a few concerns looking forward to it - and the brandy hot chocolates that come highly rated!

You're "a bit of a crap on the slopes"? That's rather unfortunate.

I thought Rila was absolutely fine, clean, warm, and comfortable. The evening meal ain't going to win any awards, but hey it's food. Eat the hotel breakfast, it's spot on for giving you energy on the slopes, but I'd recommend eating out most nights, you'll find very cheap and good food nearby.

We have stayed at the rila 3 times with no problems. food is basic but staff are friendly and its only somewhere to crash out after a hard day skiing and drinking. Use a safe deposit box 35 lev, and have a great time.
