Hotel Royal

Off to Borovets for the first time staying in the Hotel Royal and would like to know what it's like - anyone know? Also where is the best place to hire equipment, lift pass etc and should we sort it out over here or over there? Very Happy

re: Hotel Royal

Sort hire package out with your tour operator before leaving.

The Hotel Royal is one of the best in Borovets - very posh!! Situated a little out of town and next to the Yagoda and Malina Villages.

Hope this helps - enjoy!

The taxis are 10 lev (about £3) to the Yagoda Village. Make sure you agree price before getting in. It is walkable and we saw people doing it but not us!!

I ound the conditions the last 2 years very cold but that is me all over! The wind chill can be a bit of a killer so go prepared to wrap up with a windproof top layer. You can always adjust your layers if too warm. It is always more difficult getting warm if you're cold!

The hot cholcolate brandy is excellent and I also rather like the hot wine!!

If you do a general search on your computer the Royal Hotel will come up - I think Balkan go there if you want more details.

Hopefully you will love Borovets - we do.

Want to know more then please ask. Otherwise, enjoy!
