Hi there !Im due to go to Bulgaria soon but ive heard mixed emotions about the Hotel Samakov. Can someone plaese give us some usefull comments please ! We're in need and im starting to worry . Please help !!!!!!1

I went to Borovets a year ago, but stayed in a hotel much further away from the slopes. During our time there we managed to get a look around Samakov and were so impressed that we will be staying there this time around!
I'm going this weekend so I will post my thoughts when I get back, but I don't think there will be anything to worry about!

I hope it is, we're going there on the 7th of February! Seriously, one of our party has been there for the last 4 years and said it is good, and it has 4 Bulgarian stars (the equivalent of 3 European). One of the best 2 in Borovets, apparently.Marko

hi , im sure you will enjoy your stay at the samokov , i have just spent a week there with a group of 14 , the rooms are good and comfy , nothing luxurious but warm clean and stacks of hot water for a good bath after the skiing.
the staff are great very friendly , food was fine , plenty of it , only complaint was it could be served a little hotter but there is a buffet breakfast and a buffet evening meal every night and i was quite happy to eat there most nights .
the bar is nice allthough ...

the samokov ski hire and ski school were great , our ski tutor was superb.

i have heard all sorts of stories on this disscussion forum , but , i didnt see a single lady of the night , i didnt get robbed , i didnt get food posioning, i had a great holiday , superb skiing and great apres ski.
