re: Hotel Victoria

Bev,

Some people we met up with last week in Borovets stayed in the Hotel Victoria (I think - it's the small one just outside the main resort area).

If I am right it is, as I mentioned above, a few minutes walk (downhill) from the main resort area. This apparently was it's only downside and they didn't consider it a major one. Their skiis and ski school were arranged through The Samokov (booked through Balkan Holidays) and so their equipment was left there overnight.

They said it was very small, 12 rooms I think, but very friendly with good food. If it is the one I am thinking of it is set in woodland and much more picturesque.

In fact they wouldn't have experienced the downside we had being in a large hotel in the middle of the resort - noise in the middle of the night (although before anyone starts panicking I was only woken up twice for a few minutes at a time).

That's all I know I am afraid.

re: Hotel Victoria

Hey Bill and Bev.

the Victoria is a ncie and familiar hotel a bit out of the centre of Borovez but beatiful and in my eyes not only a three star. You can use for a small few the jacuzzee and the sauna and can eat for really resonable prices in the mechana in the basement. The rooms are not giant, but in a great style cherry wood boards and chairs, minibar and sat tv. with some luck you have a corner room with a balcony. Nice small lobby with a fireplace and bar.

Great choice.
