Hi everyone, I hope someone can help. I am due to visit Borovets on the 13th Feb with my partner and her daughter (aged 7).
We are staying in the Hotel Yanakiev as it seems to have good reviews. We are just trying to arrange ski hire, tuition and lift passes. From reading reviews online I had narrowed it down to either snowmasters or Hunters ski school.

The Hotel Yanakiev offer a full ski package and its roughly £100 cheaper than the alternitives. However, I cant seem to find any reviews for them at all. It also says that if I want the hotel to look after hired equipment it is roughly an extra £60 for the 3 of us over the week (im guessing we have to keep the equipment with us if we hire from elsewhere?
Does anyone have any experiance of the ski school at the hotel and how it compares to the others. Normally I would just go with Hunters or Snowmasters however £160 is a lot of money so would like to look at all the options.
Both of the girls have never being skiing so descent english speaking instructors, good equipment and a relitively low student to instructor ratio would be ideal.
Hi Greg, wherever you get your ski package from they will always offer ski storage free of charge, either that or you can take kit back to your hotel room an leave it on the balcony. haven't seen any comment on the forum relating to Yanakiev ski school but have seen plenty of plaudits for Hunters and Snowmasters. Who ever you go with i'm sure you'll have a great time in boro, we are heading out on 18th Jan for our 8th visit, we have fallen in love with the place and the people who work hard ...

I stayed at Yanakiev a week ago and great hotel. Ski in ski out onto a green that takes you down to the main Rila slopes. I've written a review on trip advisor if you want more info.
I also used Hunters. The owner is a nice guy and I'm sure he will do you a good deal if there's a few of you. Bulgaria isn't set in stone on prices. Their instructors are good and won't push you too hard. Reliable and nice people.

One of the instructors runs a bar there too. Bobbys Bar. It's the first bar you get to when walking out the hotel. Good food and you will meet some good people in there who will be full of useful info. Tell Bobby and Kas I recommended it and they will look after you.

We had a excellent time there and no worries about the English lanugauage; all languages are spoken fluent and English instructors.
