Hotel in Bansko

Hi AllA group of us are planning a trip to Bansko in Feb and would like to stay in a hotel close to the gondola. Stayed in the Orphey a couple of years ago which was fine but trying to avoid the bus ride in the morning. Can anyone recommend a good hotel?

Hotel Strazhite is good value 4* hotel and only a 10min maximum walk to the gondola.Otherwise there is the Kempinski which is a fantastic 5* hotel literally opposite the gondola.

why not go self catering some realy good quality apartments right next to the gondlas.re: Hotel in Bansko

I stayed in Hotel Guiness and its 5mins walk. Great hotel, food not the best tho.

kempinski !!!!!!!!simply the best been 2 years runningclosest hotel to the gondola weather permitting you can ski into the locker room ......

Stayed in both hotels named above and can certainly agree with the comments made...have now however got my own luxury apartment in Top Lodge which is capable of sleeping 6 and is also about a ten minute walk to the gondola (on other side of STRAZHITE over the river).

I understand that you don't want to self cater - but honestly, the food is so cheap there and with the money you save on a luxury hotel ...
