How are main roads into Borovets now?

I am hoping to pop over for this weekend arriving Friday, but was wondering the state of the roads in Boro, especially the one from Radul unto Boro - I presume this is all cleared and fine to drive on?And whats the forecast for the weekend - no more snow I hope

Hi paul,I am in Dolna Banya at the moment and will be driving through Raduil tomorrow on my way to Borovets so will let you know tomorrow night

I am at Golf Club Ibar just up the road from you and the problem was getting vehicles out of the garage and off the drive as the snow had drifted pretty bad so i will find out tomorrow what the roads are like but i have been told by locals you can get to borovets with caution, it might be wise you renting a 4x4??re: How are main roads into Borovets now?
cheers for update gary.how is things at ibar - how many holes are now finished? is it likely to finish the course? and is it still the case that only house owners can play the course? when i bought at kalina one of the selling points was the course nearby and am itching to play there in the summers but without luck!!
are you a golfer? if so do you know anything about the course at ihtiman?

Ibar = very, very long story. Ihtiman = municipal course but ok for a knock about, a group of us are going Pravets and Pirin in May they are the best round this part of BG. Send us a message when u arrive and we,ll have a beer

Done today sofia Boro and the road is DRY all the way just few roundabouts before Samokov just to slow down a little no worries.
Tomorrow the same and thursday as well but from friday the weather is closing down again with snow so if it is snowing it will be a bit tricky if the machines have not brushed it aside.
Very cold and I mean minus at 7 it was minus 17 so by the sunrise it will deep down to minus 25- minus30.
THE BEST SNOW CONDITION since april 16th 1973. So once in a life time ...
Tomorrow the same and thursday as well but from friday the weather is closing down again with snow so if it is snowing it will be a bit tricky if the machines have not brushed it aside.

Hi Paul, I'm an owner at Kalina too, we're over there for a few days on the 18th Feb - hope the snow lasts until then!Can you let me know what the roads are like too please?
