I think you'll find that passes for the under 7's are free in Borovets however there may be some restrictions as to which lifts they can go on. It may depend on his ability but i'd book his when you book yours. My son who will be 7 in April 2013 will be skiing for the third time in Borovets during half term week Feb. We have not had to pay for a pass to date and you'll find this out as the kids package is much less than an adults package

I should put my comments into context and i'll try not to say it twice but the above only relates to packages eg lessons, equipment and lift pass combined. If you are purchasing these seperately I suspect that you may pay for a child's pass but do not know for sure

Thank EMJAY
Does your son get an actual pass because in Pamps my son never and was just waved thru, will not have a package for him as will get a few private lessons ( as 4hrs is a bit long & we dont get to ski with them)and he has his own equipment, This will be his 4th year on skis, both brother and sister are better than Mum & Dad already! Make me sick!!!!
Again thanks for the info.

Ian

re: How dose the lift pass work for children under 7

Hi Ian

Made a mistake, it will be his 4th time also. Well he was issued with a pass last year. Previous to that he only used drag lifts or stayed around the special kids area. I can't remember exactly what he had but they all wear vests so that they know he is with a school. The school took him on one of the chair lifts last year so he was issued with a 'limited' pass. I can't remember exactly what he had but they all wear vests so that they know he is with a school. The school took him on one of the chair lifts last year so he was issued with a 'limited' pass. I have booked a package for him this time and the school knows that he can ski and I will expect him to be issued with a pass which should cover him for at least one of the chair lifts and possibly the Gondola. There are two types of lift pass at Borovets. Don't be put off by the 4 hours tag as it tends to be a little loose with the childrens classes and would operate something like on the slopes by ten, lunch between 12 and 1 with probably a break in between and then lessons finish sometime between 2 and 3.30. This gives you a chance to ski together before 10 and for an hour or so in the afternoon
