How fit !!!!

We're coming to Pamaparovo on 31st Jan for a week, never been skiing before and am really unfit, any ideas of what might be helpful to do over the next 4 weeks, so that I can manage more than one day's lessons !!
Thanks

re: How fit !!!!

Try the old back against the wall, slide down so your knees bend to 90 degrees and try to hold it there, increase the time between now and when you go. Should help a little

re: How fit !!!!

Lyn,
If you have a bike then start using it, If it is cold (like my wife keeps saying)then remember in Pamporovo it is also cold.
If you haven't a bike go to the local Gym a few times a week or swimming.

re: How fit !!!!

Hi Lyn,
I agree with what has already been said, but when I was there before, although it was cold, when we were skiing it was warm enough to ski in T-shirts, although when we stopped for lunch etc it cooled down a little.

Where are you flying from? are you going with friends?, where are you staying? My friend and I are staying in the Prespa, flying from Gatwick to Sofia!.

re: How fit !!!!

Hi Lyn

The stronger your legs are the better you will ski. Perhaps lots of walking (not round the shops), and a daily visit to the gym. Don't worry though if you get tired the lunch breaks are nice and long with plenty of time to recover.
