How much should I budget for ski/snowboard hire?

Big bunch of us off to Bansko in Feb. Some of us skiing and some boarding.Have already booked flights and accommodation. Just wondering whether to prebook gear hire before we go or if it's cheaper to get it over there. Anybody know how much it costs? Oh yeah - how much do lift passes cost also?

Dan,

Depending on who you have booked with, you can usually get skis, boots, lift pass and lessons for around £80-90 all in. Such a bargin compared to every where else in Europe.

Who can I book with?

Thanks for replies but have booked flights and accommodation without using a holiday company. Can't find anyone to prebook gear with. Any ideas?

re: How much should I budget for ski/snowboard hire?

We did the same as you this year and it is difficult to pre-book if you miss out the middle man as it were. We were going to book through this site but they changed their rules and you can now only do so if you book accommodation with them. We went to Borovets and used the Albena ski school which the kids had used the previous year in kindergarten.

There is a Bansko Website which might help. Alternatively speak with your hotel and see what they might suggest. Do not wait until you get ...
