Hi,
We are off to Borovets on the 11th too, we are wondering which currency is best to take to exchange, Euro or Sterling.
Regards,

Take a small amount of leva ( say £50 worth ) to get you throught the first day or 2. You will need this to tip the porters and to buy your first nights beer. Also to pay the deposit on the lift pass etc etc. Take the rest in sterling which can be easily changed in resort. There are ATM's available if you run out.
How much to take depends on what you will be doing but as a guide, lunch on the slopes 10- 20 leva (£4-£Cool including drinks. Meal out with a couple of drinks 30 leva. 500ml local ...

I took £100 of leva and £400 sterling for two of us and brought £250 back.

re: How much spending money to take?

Hi
We came back from Boro end of Jan, we only spent £285 during the week. But I have to say we wouldn't have spent anywhere near that if we had been just us two, but we were in a group of 13 (2 families of 4, a family of 3 plus we two) and as we were buying in rounds in actual fact we paid more than our fair share but at those prices who cares!

Hi i'm going on the 11th too. I've got £50 worth of levs already and i'm taking £150 sterling to change as & when over there. Everyone else i'm going with is taking about £200 each too. We've got half board and rental & passes already paid for.
Can't wait.
