How to Travel Cheaply?

Hi, i went to borovets last year and paid £550 to stay in the Rila in March. Does anybody know if it would work out cheaper to contact the rila and organise flights on my own? if so how do i go about this? Really want to go back to Borovets this year but cant afford it!

re: How to Travel Cheaply?

Hi Jamie, I think that doesn“t make any sence. But you could go by bus from Berlin to Sofia (main station to main station). From London to Berlin by plane (100 Euro return ticket). The bus is 120 Euro (return ticket), 36 hours to Sofia, 60-80 Euro for the taxi transfer, finally private accommodation. A cheap one is 20-30 Euro per night (BB), total cost 420-440 Euro - that is 320 GBP and it taks you a liitle more time. Bus tickets: www.berlinlinienbus.de.
Nice time

re: How to Travel Cheaply?

try going on the internet and searching for the hotel you want to stay in will give you a nightly rate, not sure about flights as main travelers out there at that time of the year will be skiers so might not find them that cheap, take the price you paid last time didnt include ski hire ect.. we looked into it while we were out there and to be honest the cost isnt that much cheaper.

re: How to Travel Cheaply?

But if you run after the coach all the way to Bulgaria, you will save yourself euro 120!

Just kidding - do you really know anyone who would spend 36 hours on a coach (each way), in this day and age???
