Due to some posters who seem to be hell bent on causing agro!!!

I just need to say I have been visiting this site for around 5 years in this time I have found it a great help. The first time I went to Pamps I got loads of info and help before I went. The second time when I went to Bansko loads of help from posters getting flights, taxi transfers, accommodation and ski hire. I would like to also say Bulgarian ski resort have their problems, but so does every tourist resort. It would be nice when a report is written if its comprehensive and explains why people feel the way they do weather this is positive or negative, this would help others to make up their own mind on what they think, a comment of crap doesn’t tell us anything!!! It would also be nice if we can all understand one person opinion is not everyone’s and take it as just that an opinion.

As for prices going up and being a ripe off the lift passes in Bansko have been 286 lev for 6 days for the past four years the problem is due to the exchange rate this now makes it almost £150 rather than around £90 which is what it cost four years ago. As for the prices in restaurants and supermarkets have a look closer to home the prices have increased here over the past four years, I know that a loaf of bread has risen from around 80p to £1.40 in less than two years. Why do we expect the prices to remain the same in holiday resorts year on year which we seem to!!

Let’s carry on helping each other, that is what this board has been great for and in all honesty let’s remember that the price of a pint will go up and just expect to pay a bit more each year, unfortunately this year the price will seem a lot higher due to the exchange rate. Most importantly let’s enjoy ourselves.

I don't believe it is possible to make the generalisation about prices increases in all resorts. Last year I visited Borovets, Bankso and Pamporovo. I found that Pamporovo bore no resembalance price wise to Borovets and Bankso, in fact Bankso was positively cheap in comparison to Pamporovo. Everybody knows that in Pamporovo there is a monopoly in the bars and restaurants and the price increases aren't just the inflationary increases. Everybody this year is going to find a massive hike in the perceived price because of the poor exchange rate, but travellers to Pamporovo are going to feel this more because of the aforementioned monopoly and the already over inflated prices. I am not saying this just to have a moan I expect prices to increase, but I think people should be aware that prices are not the same in all three resorts and the reasons why.
