I need advice

Hi there,
I am hoping to travel to Pamoprovo on Feb. 3rd for 5 days only, meeting up with a crowd who are going for the week. They are stayin gin the Finlandia hotel, and wondering has anyone any suggestions of somehwere I could stay near that hotel, if no accomadation there...what are the chalets like? Also, this is my second skiing trip, and I do paln to attend ski school...can one just attend school for 3 days?

The Finlandia is a little way from the main hotel area and you are very much in the high season by arriving on 3rd Feb. You can attend ski school for 3 days, but you will have to pay for the week. It's dead cheap anyway.

My advice would be to try and contact some hotels direct and see if they have any room.

Thanks a mill for that list, I have very little info on the Finlandia itself, but because I am travelling on my own, thought that a chalet might be cheaper than a single room in a hotel.. if I get one at all. Which hotel would you recommend nearest the slope, baring in mind that i would be a beginner/intermediate?

Near or far makes no real difference as the hotels are allserved with free bus shuttle service.

If you have problems, go to the Markony which is a bar by the slopes and ask for me. I will be arriving in Pamporovo on the 3rd and will be in there between 10am and 11am and again at 5pm.

I will help you get sorted if you still have problems.

Flying into Plovdiv from Gatwick on 27th Jan and going to Bansko - then transfer to Pamporovo on the 3rd Feb for another week of pure joy.
