If you have the opportunity to take a lesson on a dry slope before you go out on your hols then take it.I had a board lesson for 1 hour yesterday at Warmwell in Dorset and learn't a hell of alot!! It was good fun too!
Prob gonna have 1 more before I head out to Boro to give me that head start to a more fun packed hol and less time on my bum!

I always thought that the 1st lesson on boarding is how to sit down in the middle of the slope for an hour.
Lesson 2. How to fall off a draglift and pretend you were actually dismounting.
Lesson 3. How to ensure all your clothes are 3 sizes too big.
Lesson 4. How to make £50 last a week.
Lesson 5. How to talk Boardski language. (Dude, cool, far out man, quality, etc.)
Only pulling your leg Ryki - just be careful of your thumbs on dry slopes if they use matting. Lots of ...

Im really good at lesson 2 on ski's (falling off all lifts tbh!), lesson 3 is nailed, I'd like lesson 4 to happen but I don't think it will and lesson 5, well, I'm common as muck so my language isn't far off.my thumbs are still attached. The slope up Warmwell used to have a cris cross of holes which were really dangerous but these days they have some sort of artificial white grass so alot safer. I got very wet though

dry ski slope lessons that might come in handy if the now doesn't arrive in like 13 days, Chill factor at Manchester is fantastic.My son has had about 4 lessons and is still spending most of his time on his bottom (maybe he gets tired easily)

the snowflex matting at Warmwell is very slow. However it is well padded underneath so is ideal for boarders to practice their sitting techniques.re: I went to Warmwell dry slope yesterday . .
Small World, im heading out to borovets on the 31st, and im from about 20 mins away from Warmwell and have been there a more times than i can count. Plus will be going out there again, probably mid-week somewhere, just before we head off to bulgaria to have a pre-warm-up.

Good call... dry slope lessons give you a head start if you're a beginner. You can start enjoying your holiday on day one, rather than day three or four.

graybo, thats exactly my point. I can't be arsed (no pun intended!) to spend money on a schooling when i'm on the white stuff, I'd rather bomb down the slope and learn the hard way but still with the knowledge I have picked up from the dry slope
Plus, I'm a very quick learner. 18 days and counting
