In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to
quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's
so simple that everyone can do it. Please do.

Please will you also email this to everybody in your address book, it won't
take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really
could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.

For more than one contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

re: ICE

Thing is carl, who do you phone then? Wife? Home? Mum? Dad? Cat?

Im in the Forces and we have a strict Next of kin details sheet. Your next of kin maybe your wife/mum/brother, but if you die, you may not want the MOD police telling her/him at 2am whilst she is alone with the kids. Therefore you have a contact similar to ICE, who would take the news better, who I have as my Dad . My Dad can pass on any bad news, which from a freindly face is not as bad as from a stranger who walks away 10 ...

Also do you think nurses/doctors have time to piss about scrolling through your address book, taking a guess at Dad, Mum, Home, Wife?

The system works mate, its been working for years! Wink

re: ICE

Hi Neil

This sounds a good idea so long as all emergency services are aware of it nationwide.

re: ICE

Not got a mobile otherwise I'm sure I would use it - it's a bit like a donor card I suppose, a good thing to carry all the time.
