I heard that 4 of her local pubs raised the money to send her over there, i'd say she done them and us proud

That's right Sweet P. They raised £4,000 to buy her the tin tray that carried her to Olympic glory.The message is, how many more heros do we have out there that can't afford to prove themselves.
The government wastes so much on lost causes as does the National Lottery.
Without the help of a few dedicated pub goers (many that smoke too!!!!!!!) we would still be without any medals whatsoever.

Actualy i was just having this conversation with my dad just 2 hours ago...he said that this Govnt should stop sending money abroad and plough some into our up and coming STARS, there are so many talented (un-heard of's) that will get left by the wayside simply because they just dont have the finances...yet they stand proud on the medal platform for acheiving for their country, without any encouragement or help...what happened to Great Britain and taking care of our own first like all other ...
