If no snow in Pamps is it worth travelling to Bansko?

It's not looking good for our arrival on Sunday - we've tried changing resorts with our tour operator but they won't budge. Does anyone know what the roads are like between Pamporovo and Bansko - can you do a day trip there? Can you hire cars in Pamporovo or is there public transport between the two resorts? Totally gutted about the weather especially since its now snowing in London!!! More chance of skiing there! Crying
