one bit of advice for staying at the iglika..take your own pillow!! they are VERY lumpy and stink of smoke. having said that we were there over christmas and are going back in 3 weeks. it was FAB apart from the pillows. sorry two bits of advice ask the maids not to sit on your bed and smoke when they are cleaning (unless you fancy them i suppose) it does leave a residual smokyness to the room and all your clean clothes.
Hi,
Anyone coming to Borovets who\'d like to donate things for the orphange just leave them in a bag marked for Katherine Mills, Balkan Rep at Hotel Iglika Palace Reception, or come and find me so we can met face to face. I live in the hotel so I\'m easy to find.
I\'ll be visiting Amanda over the season so can take the things. Every little really does help.
Hope everyone has a great holiday. Look forward to meeting those of you coming to Borovets !!!
Brilliant, it will be great to put faces to quite a few names that appear on the board. Sounds like many of you 'regulars' who provide us part-timers with so much valuable information and make the board such a pleasure to visit will be descending on the resort on 8 March. I love going to Borovets but you can just sense that this year will be something extra special.
just come back from staying in iglika - family rooms/ superiour rooms massive normal rooms bit small but ok. Katherine actually lives in hotel so if miss her during visiting hours dont worry she will be about somewhere inn the bar.
Go out front door of iglika, climb over Rila barrier (trust me there will be a track) In back door of rila, past nightclub door, up steps on right, out through front door. Turn left walk ~ 50 feet, titanic on Right. Walk past bar, find bickering couple sat next to fire in familiar t-shirts, no doubt eating, and probably drinking too!
