Hi, been to Borovets but not stayed at the Iglika before, anyone have any feed back?

Hi6 of us went ther last year all HB rooms a we bit small but ok as ur out skiing and sleepin lol food is ok have as much as u want mite have 2 heat i more if ur late in got a micro ther so no probs ther and bar is quite good had some good nights in ther
all in all i would go back ther had a great time looks awsome ther now with all the snow wish i was going this year lol have fun re: Iglika palace
good all round hotel...its worth paying a few extra pound for the superior rooms though.re: Iglika palace

Just back from Borovets on Saturday. We stayed in the Iglika (superior twin room and single room) and thought it fine. The location is really good, and bar is good and the food is actually quite nice. Re the rooms, the carpets are a bit tired and had a few cigarette burns, but clean otherwise. The tv and fridge worked, the phone didn't. Plenty of hot water though no shower curtain. The single bathroom was in fact a wet room - no cubicle. Clean towels after 4 days. Sheets did not fit the bed ...

Sheets did not fit the bed as seems usual in Bulgaria! The beds were comfortable but the pillows a little lumpy. Radiators worked very efficiently.
We didn't use the pool or the massage facilities, but I was told the masseuse was very good.
I would stay there again without hesitation.

Stayed there in 2005, exellent hotel, food was fantastic. Rooms ok, doors into the rooms from the lobby had small cracks in them so you could see into other peoples rooms and the bathroom doors with frosted glass, though you couldn't see through them you knew exactly what the other person was up to in there, lovely. But saying all that I really like the place.re: Iglika palace
We were there over Christmas, it was great loads of food which was really nice. the only 2 points of problem were 1) the rooms are very smoky. we thought this was just because people were smoking in the bar and the smell spread but actually my hubby went up to get something we had forgotten from the room and the maids were sitting on our bed smoking!! they looked a bit surprised to see him. 2) the pillows were VERY lumpy and old and smoky so much so we went and bought our own.
