Right then, lets just consider something...
The recent snow in the UK is exceptional, not annual, even Scotland cannot if history is to be observed be relied on to supply snow for Christmas...
The recent weather system that has maintained above seasonal tempertures in BG (22.2 in Velika Turnovo 4 days ago) is also exceptional, the seasonal norm being at least 10 degrees colder.
Modern ski resorts are not so natural snow reliant, investment in snow making ...

Had the normal tempertures been available we would be looking at a minimum of 4 complete pistes, the complete ski road, and all the nursury areas... and that would have been on December 1st...
We can accept a lack of natural snow, nature is very fickle, but seasonal tempertures are much more reliable, and on that basis, snow making will offer better guarantees of pre and over Christmas skiing.....
Ok, this year has been exceptional, highest tempertures for this time of year on record, but this is not the norm, even allowing for fluctuations. I have been skiing in Bansko since the resort opened, and it is possibly the latest i have seen for there to be no snow on the ground, natural or artificial...
But, it is coming, don't worry about that, and we are going to pay for our real mild spell... o yes, we are going to pay
