In Borovets now - any questions anyone?

Hi everyone,

This is my 5th day skiing in Borovets. Unfortunately today the gondola has only been open to the mid station again (Only once this week have I managed to get to the top). The snow conditions have been good but the last 2 days have been very warm and it is becoming a bit slushy at the bottom of the slope. Ice patches are also visible on many runs.

The conditions up the top of the slopes are much better and the conditions at the top of the Gondola is just amazing. We are all crossing our fingers tonight hoping the wind will dye down so we can spend out last day at the top of the gondola.

Everything here is cheap. Food has not been too bad. Drink very cheap!!!!!Lots of ski gear to buy - hats, coats, saloppes, glasses, goggles, ski socks etc etc Booze

Anyone one any questions - should be around for about 30 mins

Hi

I am in the Internet room at the Rila Hotel - 3 lev - 1hour or 1.50 lev for 30 mins.

A bit of snow would not go amiss tonight. It has been a bit windy today and at one point only the 4 man chair lift to the left of the webcam (cannot see on webcam) was working. The Rila 4 man chair lift did start working again later. Slopes as you can imagine very very busy. Very Happy

Wait to you get out here. Goggles (good makes - originals) very cheap. Snow boards selling for 220 levs (which is way less than 100 pounds).

There are absolutely loads of shops to buy ski gear - they have all the good brands.
