It seems that the normal Income protection you get gives you a pathetic amount of money! And being Self employed and partner in a firm the amount of money barely covers my rent, let and know things like phone bill van lease and etc as they come out of the business and if I'm not working obviously the work force is cut down! previous years i ...

Think you should talk to a/your financial adviser on this one Billy, or speak to your insurance agent to look for income protection.
As for pushing your luck possible time to recognise your limits so less of Banana skiing Banana skiing Banana skiing and more of Booze Booze Booze

I reckon if you go out thinking you might hurt yourself, you probably will.

re: Income protection!

Billy, I agree it seems a lot to pay £160 for a week, but consider you did have an accident and were off work for 6 weeks, a payout of £1200, would not cover your earnings but may be sufficient to help get you by for the period off work. In this case it may be you pay your money OR you take your chances!!.

Take care on the slopes.
