Anyone considering an independent holiday next year - its well worth considering the Devonshire Lodge in Bansko. It's run by Glynnis and Nigel and although we didn't go there this year we are considering it for next year. They have lived there for 3 years and have a wealth of local knowledge about the town and can advise on all sorts of things. They can arrange transfers and ski hire etc leaving you only to sort out the flight. I can't seem to find the cheap flights that people talk about, but if I can get some help there, that's who I and my family will be staying with. This was a great skiing holiday even though I was staying at the Katarino Spa which can cost you anything rom 15-30 Levs to get into town. My only complaint about Bansko is I think too much development is taking place, which reduces the charm the town has.
