Indian, Lev and LOG

Hi Everyone,
It was about 3-4 years ago when I first went to Borovets but I’m due to arrive back out there on the 11th February for 6 days with a group of 9. Cool

I'm interested in the Indian restaurant. Can anyone tell me if the meat is Hala or not? If not what’s the veggie option like?

Can I just check that the Lev is still the main transactional currency in the bars in Borovets? Is it better to change GBP or EUR out there? And would it be better to exchange at Sofia airport? In ...

Last year I was over in Austria snowboarding and got playing LOG (also known as stump) most evening in the bars with money changing hands and large amount of beers being consumed Booze Booze . Has this found its way over to the Borovets bars and if so where should I be heading?

Thanks, Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I have received your email and will reply to that as well however just so you know we serve Halal and non-halal meat in the Indian. In general we use non-halal however for your booking we can change this and buy in halal meat from Sofia. I will explain more in a private email to you!

In terms of currency, it is still the LEV and the best place to change would be in Samokov on the way into the resort - if you have a private transfer they will have no problem stopping and letting you change money - the rate is a bit better than if in the resort itself.

Cheers

Kas
