Inflight Catering

Thomas Cook airlines want £15 per person for inflight meals to Sofia. If you do not select this option can you buy food on the plane?? For those who have paid it, is it any good??

Our holiday with Nielson included food on the Thomas Cook flight and it was pretty good

We were supposed to have in flight meals included with Thomas Cook, but they messed up the booking so some of us only got them on the way home...they were ok...nothing special.

I'm pretty sure the stewardess on the way home said you could buy the meals at £8 each, so you would save £1 in total by booking in advance.....personally I'd save the £15 and take sandwiches.

JC you can only by the meals on their if there are any left over - think they are £8.50? As for other food, only crisps/chocolate/peanuts etc (all at rip off prices!) like phillip says above, better off getting a boots meal deal. The meals arent bad but wouldnt really fill you up (and I aint fat or anything! lol)

Cool

Why does airline food all smell the same, no matter whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner? Always wondered that???

Boots meal deal all the way for me!!

Confused

Only a 3 hour flight. Why not eat before or after. For the price of a family of 4 eating on the plane (60 bloody quid) you could have a meal with all drinks etc in resort.

Save your money and take food on board with you! we have started doing that in the last couple of years. You are allowed to take snacks and sandwiches through security, We make up a lovely packed lunch and just buy drinks after security, the most we buy on the flight is a cup of tea, even that is a rip off at £2 a go. A meal was included in my flight back from Sofia on Saturday night with Monarch......what a load of rubbish! a tiny tray with two chipolatas carrots, peas and a teaspoon of ...
