Is Bulgaria in Europe?

I don't know if i am being a bit thick, Confused, but for travel insurance purposes, is Bulgaria classed as being Europe?

I'm trying to do it online - any recommendations?

Hi it's not within the EU for insurance reasons. need to get personal insurance.

last year I emailed the insurance co. advertised on this site to ask them, they replied that they count bulgaria as europe when they gave me a quote - I sent them an email on sat. to check before taking out a policy for this year and am waiting for their reply.

My insurers have always said that Bulgaria is regarded as Europe!!!!
