My husband and i are wondering whether we should cancel our holiday at Pamporovo we have not been before so we dont really know what to expect.. We have 2 young children and the thought of 52 gangsters carrying knives and knuckle dusters well its not good is it.re: Is Pamporovo safe?
Janet you've got nothing to worry about. It seems the bulgarian press are becoming as sensationalist as the british. I've no doubt something happened, but I've yet to see a posting on here from somebody that witnessed it.
I'm going back for the fifth time this weekend with my family and friends. I've been twice as a single man, and twice so far with my fiance and step daughter.

Janet , if you like you can rent a steel box from me £500 for the week , bargain !!!!you and your family can get inside and you will be safe all week , i have foam which i can throw in free of charge .
your family will spend a great week in total safety.
sorry for being sarky but you are perfectly safe in foreign countrys as long as you use a little bit of common sense. it really is that easy .

If I may add Janet,you are there sorce of income. Do you honestly belive that gangsters will attack the hand that feeds them? I would take these stories with a pinch of salt. I have been 4 times and never had any bother, yes I have seen the dodgy characters but that is all. relax you will have a great time.re: Is Pamporovo safe?
I have contacted my travel agent who has checked on the situation and suggests that I move to an alternative resort.re: Is Pamporovo safe?

Bob your travel agent is a total prat. Would you consider not going to Italy?That country has the real Mafia look at the problems they have had in Naples recently. Yet people happily toodle of on holiday there!!! But we get one blown up story wich was dealt with quickly and without inccident and suddenly everyone thinks they are goin to crime city! Get real people.
