Is Sophia Safe?

We may spend the day in Sophia ( particularly if there's no snow!).Has anyone been there before?

Not sure if Sophia is safe as I don't know her.However Sofia is as safe as any other European capital.

We were in Sofia in October 2 girls alone. We felt safe walking in the main streets by day and in the evenings.
We were careful with our bags etc.
When we were in the markets we were told by locals to wear our bags at the front - so there may be a chance of being mugged there but this is likely in any city- town-even village in the uk.
Sofia is beautiful and I would recomend spending some time there. The buildings are stunning and at the markets bargains galore - if you don't mind a ...
