Is it always like this?

After 15 years of marrige my husband finally persuades me to go on a skiing holiday with our two children. We are going 23rd Dec to Bansko. Obviously really fed up with the lack of snow!! My question is, is it always like this, everyone panicking about the snow? looked on webcam archive and there was no snow this time last year either? If there was a disscussion board archive to look at would there be the same panic comments about the snow last year?

Last year wasn't much different to be honest. yes, there was slightly more snow but not much. This isn't all that unusual, so please don't worry. The current weather system tracking across the atlantic and europe will more than likely hit eastern europe (Bulgaria) within the next two weeks. All it takes is 2/3 days of continuous snow to totally rejuvinate the mountain to a brilliant white winter wonderland.

be carefull sitting on babys has been outlawed in bulgaria since they joined the EU

yes always and continues right up until the snow goes at the end of the seasons, will it snow, how long will it last, will it still be there next week, how deep is the snow, theres too much snow, oh how we love it

I have just been to bansko, got home today, there is snow on the runs and it probably needs another day, and snow is predicted this weekend , sure weather says rain , but it will be snow up there.

Don't worry it will snow it always does for me and I am out there in Bansko 24th Dec - 4th Jan.

Thanks for the positive reply, my kids just read it with me and they are over the moon. I suppose i should stop moaning at my husband for persuading me to go!!!
Staying in the hotel Perun which should have alot of other facilities so, if there isn't any snow still going to make sure we have a bloody good time.
