Is the LION significant in Bulgaria?

Last week I was skiing in pamps- my ski instructor told the girl in the bar that I was a lion? The bar girl said that was a huge compliment and she fancied me. Was there with my wife so couldnt pursue! But obviously was flattered if this is the case. Anyone know why a lion???????????????? Very Happy
