One week to opening season, the snow is falling and folks start going out next week, just the forum appears quiet compared to a couple of year ago this time!
Not many new posters asking questions like there used to be, may pick up of course as the season goes on
still- lets hope its a good 2010/11 season!
Will it snow when I go?
Should I take levs or yen?
Will the Mafia kill me?
Can you get a pint of Fosters in Bulgaria?
Will I be able to watch Coronation Street?
it is a bit quiet, but I think everybodies been keeping quiet, certainly i have, about how everywhere else in europe is swamped in snow yet up until thursday last week we were still getting 18 degrees, BUT and its my big butt of the week, we have nobody or only a few people worried about the snow, as we had last year, it was a lot worse last season, gut feeling, i think it will pick up after this weekend kicks in and everybody starts reporting back, time will tell.
Ahh Pete!
but whats the food like
what about the prostitutes!
where can i change my money
can i actually ski here!
yes- i know we can all be bored with the same questions- especially you guys who have been here for so long!
But- hope Bulgaria has a good season cos i expext there will be a lot more skiers wanting a holiday on a budget next year!
AND- it can be as good if folk just come and enjoy, have fun and embrace the Bulgarian culture! (and of course enjoy the cheap booze!)
Easily answer those questions (and I know you know the answers )
1) Snow- Hell yes of course everybody knows the ski instructors control the snow gods
2) Lev- Would recomend the Zim doller, exchange rate so good you get million and trillions in your pocket
3) Mafia- Only if you are really stupid and make a deal with them.
4) Fosters- No NOBODY drinks that P***
5) Coronation street- THE MAIN REASON I LEFT THE UK IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
My son loved meeting the Mafia a few year back!- well he said hello to a few dodgy blokes getting out of a blacked out 4x4, and they said hello back! (too much x box i think!)
