Is this really Boro yesterday?

Image of very snowy Boro. The web cams from today look very different with only what I assume is partial snow cannon cover.

Is this really Boro yesterday?

No it's not and in fact there is no webcam there or anything 'live' by the hotel... this is an old photo.....that's why we try and update with a real picture throughout the season (even if it's bad news) rather than people making it up....

There has been no snow recently although the cannons have been working some days, but again this has been more about testing them. Today however they have worked in the day as well (we came up to Boro at 9 this morning and they were already on) and it ...

There has been no snow recently although the cannons have been working some days, but again this has been more about testing them. Today however they have worked in the day as well (we came up to Boro at 9 this morning and they were already on) and it is still confirmed that as of the 1st December, all cannons will be on permanently subject to temps remaining cold. Snow is forecast for next week (although we never really rely on this)...but even if there is no snow from now until the season start, there will be guaranteed skiing on Rila, Yastrebets and up on Markudjik due to the cannons.

Well Ryan...luckily for all of us it wasn't true!! And if it was, we would have posted about it as soon as it 'happened' as Bobby wouldn't have been able to contain himself!

re: Is this really Boro yesterday?

Confirmed my suspicions given the weather sites and web cams showed no snow. It's a more than a bit naughty for a ski company to do that as it's very misleading and does not help at all. You can see from the web cams what the situation is and it's clear that the cannons will be providing some skiing.

Don't worry Kas, your on the spot reporting is under no danger of being usurped!

Nice to see the cannons have been working even if only to test them... The lack of early season snow all over Europe has got the tour ops worried not surprised they are putting pictures like that out!

The rumours now are that the FIS are to delay the European start to the World Cup, due to lack of snow throughout the Alpine region. Already an event has been cancelled in Finland, normally snow sure... I am fairly confident we will get snow, and the temps have definitely been lower than last season allowing the cannons to run at least. The last couple of days have seen higher temps, but still dropping to zero and below overnight... We still have had no rain, clear skies everyday... im ...
