Just wondering what to expect, staying in the Belmont Hotel from the 6th of Jan. wife & 2 kids aged 5&3, does anyone know what the hotel is like and what can we expect with the food and the leisure facilities. Also wondering about how the kids will be looked after in ski school
Steve- a group of us stayed there March 05, lovely hotel excellent facilities will probably go back there again this year. The only downside was that to get to the centre you have to get a taxi. Hotel will transport you to ski centre every morning up to 10 (I think?!?) Hope you have a great time, we were were all first timers last year and loved it!
Would a taxi cost you much Em, also what was the Pool and steam room like and how much are the beauty treatments my wife wants to know, also what was the food like as we have 2 kids aged 3 & 5.
Stephen, taxi was about €7/8 from what I can remember don't what the conversion to lev's. Pool is lovely although a bit chilly at times as with the whirl pool. We enjoyed just relaxing in it loosen up our muscles after falling about in the snow all day! I'm not sure if there is a childrens pool.
I got a leg and shoulder massage for about €12 very cheap! A couple of the girls got their hair coloured (with L'oreal products) and cut (I think) for €15 and €5-7 for a it to be dried. Think ...

Think a full body massage was about €25-30. The sauna is great too but smallish. The steamroom looked great but wasn't working properly when we were there.
I thought the Belmont was good value for money the bar in the evening was very relaxing and cheap! Food was a bit hit and miss...for evening meal you would need to get there early as it can get quite cold. To be honest it had some traditional dishes and continental food was edible - so nobody starved!! Breakfast was fine loads of cereal, toast, juices teac/coffe usual contential style, there was also eggs and sausages and bacon. There are some good places to eat the main centre so you wouldn't have to confine yourself to the hotel.
