Switzerland
Switzerland currently has bright sunny skies and warm temperatures but hopefully this will give way to some much needed snowfall at the weekend. Those skiing at Andermatt (0/50cm) this weekend will enjoy sunny skies and crisp temperatures. Davos (0/38cm) and Klosters (0/38cm) both have 10km of artificially maintained slopes open. Engleberg (0/30cm) currently has 6 lifts running servicing 3km of hard, icy pistes. Flims/Laax (0/55cm) also has only 3km of a possible 220km ...

The glacier at Gstaad 3000 (5/63cm) received 3cm of snow on Wednesday night. Saas Fee (0/93cm) has 20% of terrain open. Zermatt (11/80cm) opened two more lifts bringing the total to 18 now with snow expected at the weekend. Arosa, Pontresina and Samnaun plan to open this weekend.
Italy
The pleasant weather seen this week across Italy will bless skiers and boarders for most of this weekend. Cervinia (10/80cm) the biggest snow depth but skiing is still limited to the glacier. Val Senales (5/30cm) may not have the depth but the conditions improved with the snow received on the 22nd November and they have maintained the increased depth well.

Yip, it really does look as though most of the european alps are set to receive some much needed snow and colder temperatures so that they can at least start firing up their snow cannons to make snow.Bulgaria won't be too far behind hopefully!

Turkey has plenty of snow in Saklikent about 270k away from Pampsre: It's Getting Closer
As dry as a bone - sorry. Hope your insurance covers no snow!

I am getting worried that pete is going to bring a coachload to Bansko at Christmas and drink all the beer/brandy if there is no snow in Pamps.....

I am joking, I am sure there is enough of everything to go around in any resort - just not snow..... but I am optimistic and I know it will snow and we will all have a great christmas....re: It's Getting Closer
