JUST BK FROM BANSKO

just back from bansko, any questions!?! theres alot of snow there and really there was too much on tues and weds and on tuesday they closed the resort due to heavy winds and avalanches, which me and a few others saw, and on wednesday they had to dig out the lifts!! but the last 2 days the weather was great at the top and there was sooo much powder!!

The top of the black was like off piest due to the deep powder and by lunch the reds were all cut up, but it was very fun skiing!! ...

Basicly the skiing was great apart from it being very windy a few days!

o i forget, i found the ski school shocking! others found it good like my dad who is a begginer but for advanced it was crap! i skiied off at the end of the first day because they were teaching me how to snow plow even though they put me in the advanced class, oh and the class had 14 pep which didnt help. i made some friends and skiied wit them for the rest of the week!!

The flight was interesting, must of been the oldest plane ive even seen, had the engines on the very back (duno if that helps any plane experts??!!) the food wasnt that great on it either but aircraft food isnt exactly great!

i wont keep on but if theres any questions todo with bansko, just ask!! ( i didnt catch the flu, didnt see any signs if it either)!

OVERALL i had a great holiday and i would recomend it to any skiier who HAS skiied b4!

re: JUST BK FROM BANSKO

Who was your instructor? We were there the week before and had Meto - much the same as you - started with snow ploughs no matter your level.

Cheers

re: JUST BK FROM BANSKO

Hi - just to balance things out, I was in Bansko in January. I was in the advanced class and our instructor was brilliant. We were straight into parallels and he really pushed us. Our instructor was Plamen. Sounds like you got a rough deal. I cannot fault our instruction.
