Thanks Snow Plough!

I have been following the board for a while now and thought it was finally time to post something!! So excited about going to Boro, don't think I've ever checked a snow report so much!!

Do you recommend changing currency once we get to the resort?

Really looking forward to the lock in!

Hey Jomo,

Definitely change your money in resort as it'll be a better rate. Make sure all your notes are Englsh as Scottish ones aren't accepted or if you do find someone willing to change them you'll get a rubbish rate!

euro has a fixed exchange over there I think about 1.96

Have a great time!

This will be our first time to Borovets but I can't see it being different from pamps or bansko in the fact that a lot of the hotels do exchange at the main desks so you will have no issue exchanging at any point in the week. Banks are known to have slightly better rates if you can get there during the week. Last time in bansko there were banks open until around 19:00 if I'm not mistaken. Be careful of booths on the street though, always exchange in a bank or hotel, something to do with ...

Also, if you go to a bank taken your passport as I'm sure we required it last time.

Hope this helps, perhaps see you around, we arrive 29th Very Happy

re: Jomo

You usually get the best rate when getting cash from an ATM. There are several in Borovets, including at least one up the road between the gondola and the Flora - very convenient for Bobby's!
