No problems at all - I travel in quite early so had no problems.

Just found out that the colleage I gave a lift back from Elstree to St Albans last Thursday was on that Thameslink train - how scary is that

Very quiet here - people must be going off on holiday soon on the sunny side - I'm off to Scout camp in a couple of weeks - oh joy - we are off to Oxford

You got anything planned?

Nothing planned as yet. I must admit the BG summer resorts don't really appeal, too commercialised for me. We may pop over to France at some point. We can get to Dover or Folkestone in about an hour so quite easy to pop across.

I think you're very brave doing the scout camp. I'm not very good with children. Usually find them quite irritating. I guess we're all different which is probably a good thing.

I'm taking 8 boys aged between 10 and 14 - not too arduous... They are told the times for activities that are booked for them and the rest of the day is theirs...

Easy way of doing things - might spend some time doing bivouacs with them, making a mud oven etc.

Are you off to Youlbury by any chance Judith? We were there in May and it was freezing but you should be luckier in the main school holidays.

It is a great campsite but I find it too big for my cubs. The kids really enjoyed the laser quest acitvity that is there now and it was really well organised. It taught the lads observation skills and encouraged team work and co-operation which isn't that easy with young kids these days.

Our camp the other weekend was great fun and the weather ...

Our camp the other weekend was great fun and the weather was just right. Enjoy!

Yes - Youlbury it is - we are right in the back corner with one of the buildings so that we have proper cooking facilities - cheating I know, but worth it...

We've got the beavers coming down for a 24 hour stay too so they can either stay in tents or in the hut
