Junior Ski Tuition in Pamps

Hi, anyone one had experience of the junior ski tuition offered in Pamps.Question I'm looking to book for 2007 with my "nearly" 7 year old son who has been to ski school in Austria this year (when only 5). Looking at some of the earlier posts the ages allowed in the schools in Bulgaria seems to vary. My tour operator (Panorama) is checking with the resort but they indicated 6-13 on the phone. My elder son will be 11 but only has only had the same "learning time" and so is much the same ability and ...

Any personal experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks. Very Happy

re: Junior Ski Tuition in Pamps

most 7 year old finds it hard to keep up in class, the classes with the tour operators can be up to 14 people and sometimes maybe more - the younger the pupil is the more time they need with the instructor.
depends on your 7 year olds ability.
you can get private tuition for around 30 lev an hour, I do have a good contact for Pamps for private tuition or you can go to the ski shop next to Snow Shack and organise it with them.
if you would like my contact let me know.
you will be able to ...

you will be able to get him in the normal class with your operator - maybe a good idea to get him the package with them and see how he goes on the first few days and if its a problem organise private tuition.

re: Junior Ski Tuition in Pamps

Hi,
Depends what you want, family sking or to split your party up. I was out in late Feb with my daughter,11, who had only skied in snow domes and we were part of a group of 16 aged from 7 to late 40's from 4 diffrent families. Admittedly we were all diffrent abilities but it was our choice to ski together and had a brilliant time as a result. So it is up to you as to wether you want family holiday or just go off sking on your own whilst your kids do their own thing.

re: Junior Ski Tuition in Pamps

My 7 year old joined in the Ski school at Pamps and loved it. She had 15 hours on the dry slope first, so she wasn't a novice. The only stipulation that the ski school put on us was that she wasn't allowed on the lifts without me, so I had to go in the same class as her. Not too much of a problem since I am only slightly better than her.

I understand that under 8's are not allowed on the lifts without an adult even if they are not in ski school. The 3 man one is a bit too high for ...

Hope that you have a good holiday.

re: Junior Ski Tuition in Pamps

Thanks very much for all the replies. It looks like there's quite a bit of flexibility with the ski school system with a fall back of good value personal tution should we need it.
Thanks again,
Russ.
