Just got back today from Hotel Finlandia, Pamporovo. You were able to ski, but very icy. Yesterday (Saturday) was almost impossible because of the ice. According to the instructors there is no snow forecast for the forseeable future. But who knows, things might change.
As far as Pamporovo - I couldnt believe how rude the people in the ski-fitting shop were. Balkan flights was a complete joke - I would never travel with them if they paid me.

I enjoyed the holiday as there were a lot of us, however, I wouldnt go back to Pamporovo as somebody who has skied before as you do get a bit bored of the same runs down.
god i hope so. what the nite life there like. i am going there on the 27 of this month. do they have cider there to drink. some mad irish people comeing over
I haven't been to Pamps for about 5yrs but I can assure you that the nightlife is great. As for cider, i'm sure someone will be along shortly to confirm one way or the other.
I'm off to Bansko on the 27th Jan myself.
Hi. Hotel Finlandia is very nice, clean, large rooms. Couldnt fault the food, something different every night, even the kids managed to eat well.
The staff in the ski-fitting are just rude to the point of they dont talk to you and if you had the wrong size boots (like many people seemed to) they didnt like changing them, mainly because they had run out of some sizes. That was the Balkan ski-fitting, dont know about the other tour operators.
