Well, what can i say :-)
I just got back from 10 days in Bansko and i must say i had the best holiday there i have ever had.
The place is getting better and better, there is a big vibe at the moment over the 2nd Gondola, i know there has been talks of this over the last 10 years but things seem to be moving in the right direction. If Ulen actually get this plus the expansion of the slopes then it will be looking good....
Gondola queues are still an issue if you get there after 0830 ...

Gondola queues are still an issue if you get there after 0830 but before this is fine, the buses are also running constantly plus taxis will take you up there for about 30-40 lev if you are running late in the morning.
Prices of beer and food are still really good value for money and I believe you will save massively on most places in Europe on this, plus ski hire and passes are still fairly cheap in comparison.
There are still many things that need addressing in Bansko / Bulgaria but i believe it is going in the right direction...
