Just a slap in the face for all those doubters out there

We have snow, a lot of snow, and more is forecast Very Happy
Unlike the Alps, which has very mild temperatures, melting pistes, and no snow in the near future, has anyone been watching the ski world cup from Garmisch, green fields apart from the run, and the run is very soft with lots of fallers due to the rutting...

Don't you think nature is wonderful ?... unless your my girlfriend Wendy who has just set off to the airport (11.00 Mad) to collect some eager guests, in 20cm of snow (on the road)

it is fantastic news. even better that i am coming out a week on saturday and really looking forward to it. it gets really frustrating listening to everyone complaining about the lack of snow but you take your chances when you book and hope for the best. if there is no snow, its really sad but such is life. I share the frustration...however i was in bansko skiing on the friday 21/1 when there hadnt been any snow for ages and i was worried as to how i would find the pistes but i was ...

I share the frustration...however i was in bansko skiing on the friday 21/1 when there hadnt been any snow for ages and i was worried as to how i would find the pistes but i was plesantly surprised. granted some of the runs were closed but what was open was in really good nick thanks to the snow cannons and that makes me feel much better that even with no snow, ulen can still make sure you can ski. i never saw any rocks on any of the open pistes yet you look at some of the comments on here and people saying that it is bad, dangerous etc etc. they are obviously skiing the runs that were closed.

Ian.. we know don't we, we have been there.. these youngsters today, no patience.. wasn't like it in our day was it.. we were grateful just to get a sniff of snow, and that would satisfy us for another season.. spoilt, thats the problem, have everything to easy.. not like us, down the pit for 18 hrs a day, saving every penny, just to get one day `ont ill'
I am considering though to sell my wooden skis with the leather bindings, do you think i'll get the 12 and 6 i paid for them ???? Booze

Steve

Will the bindings fit clogs, either that or I'll have to ski in bare feet

Hey GW, no problem Very Happy Of course we could always nail them on, thats what the old `hardcore' skiers used to do, they had knees that would rotate all the way round Wink
