Hi everyone, just back from 1 week in bansko, it was our first time there and we have had an absolutely fabbie time, plenty snow, great base camp, great beers (even though you had to drink them quick before they froze!) Would highly recco to anyone - Have a great time if you are heading there soon!!re: Just back from BANSKO!
Went for the first time in March this year - am returning March 2006. Bansko is - in my opinion - THE BEST!!

thanks for that going friday where did you stay ,had a letter from balkan hols to say that there was building work going on next to our accomadation (mont blanc apts)re: Just back from BANSKO!
stayed at strazhite, there is quite a bit of building work in bansko at the mo, but i am unsure where your apartments are. We were up and down near the gondala everyday but cannt think of excesive noise anywhere, there was certainly people working but everything was covered in snow so dont think they were getting much done!!!re: Just back from BANSKO!

Yes all were open - weather was superb, nice clean snow and lovely sunshine with the exception of xmas day when it started to snow!!re: Just back from BANSKO!
Bansko sounds great, which is the best place to stay for 2 20 year olds to stay and have a great time, will be our first ski hol.re: Just back from BANSKO!
Well having stayed in a hotel, which was really lovely, i think the next time we go we will probably get an apartment near the gondola, there is plenty of places to eat and drink, good little pub was the lions (english bar, I am scottish but still really enjoyed it!!!) its quite small but staff are great and food superb. We did tend not to stray to far as i have a 3yr old! We went to a small tavern cannt remember the name but went in for lunch came out 5hrs later a bit worse for wear, a ...
