Got back from Bansko yesterday had a reasonable holiday but..queued at the gondola for an hour to hour and a half most days ( even getting there before 9am) then got very fed up and decided to go later which meant forfeiting half of our ski lessons - not happy! Having said that Method Ski School were excellent would have been great if we could have got up the mountain to meet them earlier!
The mountain restaurants were a complete rip off and the food was very limited and poor quality - Bla ...

The mountain restaurants were a complete rip off and the food was very limited and poor quality - Bla blas being the worse culprit. Got fed up of chicken soup but it was the only reasonably priced edible option.
The town itself is a complete building site - expected some construction but what we saw was unbelievable not a decent walkable pavement in sight. Our Hotel (Perun) was comfortable and warm the food was average but the staff did try to charge us 80 levs for a bottle of wine (yes thats £32) by editing the price label, when we made a fuss they quickly backed down and we didnt pay our bill.
Overall a vastly overpriced holiday much preferred Pamps. The skiing in Bansko was good when you finally got up there but thats the only positive I can say.
