Well when I finished on Friday, they'd opened the one 3 man chair that goes almost to the summit but the two lifts that go to the very top we're still closed with no chairs on the cables, the black from the top was still closed until halfway down and there's loads of powder on it, I checked it out myself on Wednesday ;o) Blue no. 10 and the red that comes ...

Well when I finished on Friday, they'd opened the one 3 man chair that goes almost to the summit but the two lifts that go to the very top we're still closed with no chairs on the cables, the black from the top was still closed until halfway down and there's loads of powder on it, I checked it out myself on Wednesday ;o) Blue no. 10 and the red that comes off that, no 12 I think, are still closed but people are using them as the other blue no. 5 is just soo crowded, but the pistes are ungroomed ( very lumpy ) plus your holiday insurance will not cover you if you have an accident of a run that's closed, I had a real nasty wipeout on blue 10 and thought I'd broken my arm for a minute so stayed off it after that.
They are opening runs daily now. Blue 10 is open again and other runs to follow. You cannot piste fresh snow. it just brings the water to the top freezes and creates ice so would like be skiing on boiler plate ice. The snow has to consolidate first. Hence when a piste has not been bashed it will get moguls. Been snowing all night again last night and most of the day. If it continues to snow through night they again will more likely not be able to bash the piste.
