Just back from Boro, Any questions?

As it says, Any questions on Borovets, Snow, Runs, Bars etc either post here or email me Snowboard@waahoo.fsnet.co.uk.

It snowed all last week, but didn't get bashed until thursday night, Apparantly they take the money for the diesel and spend it on Booze

So the runs were very crappy at the start of the week but improved at the end of the week.

I wouldn't consider Borovets a place for Beginners as the blue and green runs are spread amongst the reds! The green outside the Rila is just tooo small and gets too crowded or people blast down the Red above it and scream through Ski and Board school!!

Everyone is friendly, Ladies of the night are very scarce, drink is stupidly cheap, and I met some of the rudest skiers I have ever had the displeasure of meeting on a mountain!
Two planks or one, we are all there to enjoy the snow so get off your high horses and enjoy it, not all boarders are their to ruin the runs or get in your way! Although Borovets instructors could help on this one by teaching slope etiquette (sp?)

Hotel Bor is basic but clean, Hotel food is OK nothing sinister going on there.

Visit Hotspot bar (street opposite rila) ask for Alex, he will sort you out with some of the meanest cocktails on the planet, and he is hooked up.

Kiro was an excellent board instructor apparantly, very friendly, and hooked up, but supports Man U! never mind hey Kiro, 2-1 hahaa.

Ask away guys

Peace Smile

I am going to borovets on the 12th of February for 7 nights and are staying in the hotel victoria. Could anybody give me any information about the hotel and how far away it is from the slopes?

What are the queues for the lifts like and will they be longer as it is half term week.

What is the nightlife like. i have heard something about a bar called crouching tiger where is that and whats it like?
