As someone who has skied in Italy, Aspen and Bulgaria here's my thoughts!
Chalk and Cheese....Any BG resort is not gonna have the superb infastructure that other established countries have...let's be honest here! BG has only recently come out of a communist regime and to compare it to other western resorts is like chalk and cheese. The same argument about BG's beach resorts where I have had a home for nine years. BUT..........in the ski resorts, if you get a good dump of snow it is ...

BUT..........in the ski resorts, if you get a good dump of snow it is simply UNBEATALE in pure value for money, even if prices have increased over the last few years.
I stayed at the Samakov....faultless. As good as many 4 star hotels and better than most. Excellent clean rooms and good buffet breakfast and diner and other activities.
Snow. Ok....the slopes were a bit icy and many were closed but this is beyond anyones control. You want great snowguaranteed?....spend great money and go to Canada or USA.
Like I said......this is the only year that I've skied at BG and had poor snow so.....if the snow is right, then it is simply great value for money....nothing beats it!
BTW....Kas is simply an Angel....many thanks for your help...will stay in touch!
