Things to watch out for in borovets:

The price of drink in Francos -
Do not buy ANYONE a drink in the strip clubs-

Do try goulash soup up ~@the top station the red place hidden away A1

Do look for a guy called kiro for snowboarding lessons A1

Broken "proper" or "just" mentaly, physicaly and emotionally??

Skied 8 days out of the 12, and i'm skier not a boarder, i spend too much of my working life sitting on my ar5e to to it whilst i'm on holiday!!! Confused

As there was more queuing etc than in previous years i didn't manage to get as much skiing in. Normally in Boro i'd do about 40 - 60km per day, this time i was doing about 15-20km a day with only one day when Yasterbrets was open i got in about 35km so wasn't that tired at ...

It was the walking between the runs that started wearing me out by the end!!

I've got cramp in my left foot today because i'm not wearing ski boots - i hate that!!

All i can say is that it gets easier as you get more experienced and once you stop snow ploughing it's less tough on the legs!!

GEN

PS Is it bed time yet?????

lol i kept getting pins and needles in my feet yesterday, how bizarre!!

Wasnt actulally broken physically though thought i had done my legs in when a snow baorder wiped me out on wed as was certain i heard a crack as i went down! i think i screamed the mountain down, they'd have heard me in the Rila!!

sounds like your well experienced now Gen, maybe i'll do 35km before i'm 50! ( to go skiing b4 40 has juts been ticked off the to do list, yay!!)

re: Just back from Borovets...

Well done for giving it a go - i've tried to get my friends to come, but so many of them are full of "It might hurt", "I might break something" etc...

One woman i know broke her hand first time, but she still loves it and goes each year!!

My goal (if i ever to have kids) is to get them skiing as soon as they can walk! I'm sure it's easier the younger you are!
The kids out there are fearless!!
Very Happy

Did i read yr going back in feb? lucky you!!
